I welcome you to the Zeenat Qureshi Stroke Research Center. Zeenat Qureshi Stroke Research Center was established to conduct innovative and ground breaking research pertaining to cerebrovascular diseases. The center is home to several researchers including full time PhDs, biostatisticians, research nurse coordinators, research associates, and clinician researchers.
The center provides research facilities for epidemiological, clinical, and basic research with emphasis on translational designs. Facilities for advanced image analysis, multi-center clinical trials coordination, repository of over 25 longitudinal and cross sectional epidemiological studies, and experimental angiographic unit are important features of the center. The researchers are funded through several grants from the National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association, and donations from philanthropic sources. The research center has hosted numerous national and international conferences including Annual Vascular Neurology Review Course and International Congress of Interventional Neurology. The center has been visited by numerous dignitaries from United States, Canada, Columbia, Chile, Egypt, Japan, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Indonesia, France, Turkey, and China. In 2007, the research center was ranked in the top 20 academic facilities for conducting biomedical research selected from hundreds of institutions representing several disciplines of biological sciences in the United States by "The Scientist". Teaching, mentoring, and policies were ranked as the strengths of the center. Numerous members have received regional, national, and international awards for ground-breaking contributions to medicine.
